North Carolina Visit!!

The weekend before last, I spent the weekend with my GOOD Friends in North Carolina. We had a blast.. Just hanging out and visiting... It was filled with Lots of FOOTBALL!! It was great to see them. Here are a couple pictures of my GUYS...

Rest in Peace Miss. Lilie!!

Lilie has passed - about an hour ago - She is now Happy, Healthy and Free of Pain. GOD Bless her family during this difficult time - I wanted to share a Poem that her Mommy wrote to her earlier this afternoon:

FLY HIGH LITTLE LILIE

We knew this day was coming
But the hurt isn't any less
The good die young is what they say
You must have been the best
To have you and to hold you
I never will forget
Each and every life you've touched
Of those you've never met
Your happiness and love you've gave
To people near and far
Jesus and Mary will be here soon
To get you in their car
Fly high little Lilie across the skies
and to our lord in heaven

Some of you might remember when The Growing Love Foundation (a network of Photographers) raised enough money to fulfil the wishes of a sick little girl and her family. They wanted to be able to take the Family to the Ocean. With the blessings of many donations - the wish was Granted.. Well I am so VERY Blessed to have FANTASTIC Friends, I went to visit Beth and Shell in TN this past weekend - we had a BLAST!!!

My Cousins are in town from New Mexico - it is Soooooo good to have them here. They moved away from FL about 2 years ago - I miss them so much!!!



8 Years ago I photographed their wedding and tonight I was honored to take family photo's at Sunset Beach, FL (same beach where they got married)... Here are a couple photo's from tonight session...

It was a beautiful evening... taking a little stroll in the Surf!!!

Imagine having a beautiful child.Imagine finding out your beautiful child won’t survive past two years old.Imagine having ONE wish for your child.Imagine everyone banding together to make the wish a reality.
This is the story of Lilie’s family, and this is me (and hopefully all of you), committing myself to find a way to make this happen! Lilie is terminally ill. She has been diagnosed with GM1 Gangliosidosis. It is a rare, incurable lysosomal storage disease (enzyme deficiency) that will ultimately take her life by what research shows. . . by the age of two. She will continue to degenerate, go blind, have seizures, and eventually lose all ability to move and succumb to this disease. She is all but blind and her mom (Jen) is spending her last days enjoying what life is left in her daughter.
All Jen wants to do is take her daughter to the Ocean before she dies and Make a Wish will not grant them the wish because she is under two and they believe that Lilie will not get any benefit from it that it would only benefit the FAMILY… Jen is devastated.

This family is a dear friend of a good friend of mine. I’m asking for your help. Myself (along with a couple photographer friends of mine) would love to be able to get them to Florida. If we can get them to Florida (there are 6 in their family), they can stay with family…but with tons of medical expenses, right now it just isn’t possible.

So I’m asking for your guys’ help….anything that you could donate to this fabulous cause….$5, $20, $500…I get approximately 500 visits to my blog daily, if each person donated just $10, we could have $5000 in just one day…that would be A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! Put yourself in their shoes, imagine having one last wish for your child.

Annual Charity Event - Clearwater, FL

Margie at Smiles Forever Photography, In St. Petersburg FL... Participated in Paint your Heart our Clearwater for the 15th time. This year the City of Clearwater choose 24 homes to be painted. These are families that can not do this type of work on their own.

We rode to each of the houses and I took photography with the Mayor of Clearwater, Frank Hibbard along with each paint team.

It is a GREAT Day of Community involvement and Improvement.

Batteries Recharged!!

I just spent an amazing 5 days in Orlando at the ProPhotogs convention. This was a gathering of FANTASTIC Speakers, workshops and a lot of time hanging out with some of the BEST Professional Photographers in the world. I feel that as an artist and photographer, it is my responsibility to my clients to take time to attend conventions like this. I will be a better Phototgrapher, Person and Friend to those in need.

Life's True Blessings!!!

I was given the opportunity to go and spend some quality time with my "Sister" not many times in your life do you get the opportunity to find someone that is a TRUE FRIEND.... When you do find this type of friendship - my advise is to do anything necessary to hold on to it FOREVER!!
